PSUC responds to COVID-19

At Prairie Spirit we were building a new and exciting community… and then in March, everything changed. Our community had to change. We were unable to meet together the way we always had. So, we built a new kind of community through on line worship and a virtual coffee time as well as small, physically distanced gatherings when that was allowed. Now your COVID-19 Team is announcing yet another change! We are happy to report that we are working towards reopening our Sanctuary to in-person worship on September 20.

While our church building is closed, staff will continue working from home. Rev. Paul DuVal is welcomed back from his holidays. Emails and voice messages are being monitored regularly. To contact the church office, email or call 204-832-1000. To leave a voice message, please press 1.

Guide for Jitsi Meet

A number of groups at Prairie Spirit are currently using Jitsi Meet to connect virtually. We have created a guide to help you navigate a number of settings. If you would like to receive this guide, please contact or call 204-832-1000. To leave a voice message, please press 1.

Prairie Spirit United Church is a newly amalgamated community of faith in St. James, a suburb in the city of Winnipeg.

Our Mission Statement

Prairie Spirit United Church is an inclusive community of faith, walking the path of Jesus as we worship God. We do this by engaging with our community, by offering our gifts to aid where we can, and by telling our faith stories to all generations.

Minister Search

Prairie Spirit United Church is looking to call a minister as our interim period ends. This ministry profile is being prepared to enable us to transition from our current interim ministry to a call for a permanent minister to commence July 1, 2020.
