Prairie Spirit Choir
The Prairie Spirit Choir is present at all services from September to mid-May, leading hymns and presenting choral anthems. The choir is led from the piano by Music Director Renate Rossol. A vast array of musical anthems are selected by the Music Director for the choir to perform, including traditional and contemporary works, and pieces in different languages. The choir hopes to be supported by two choral soloists, who will assist in learning music and leading sectionals, as well as providing solos in services. In addition to Sunday services, there is one two-hour rehearsal each week. We welcome choristers of all genders, abilities, and ages to sing with us! Those who play other instruments and would like to join in supporting musical worship are also encouraged to get in touch with Renate by contacting the church office. Prairie Spirit Cheery Chimers
Prairie Spirit Cheery Chimers is a friendly group of people who meet weekly to learn to play music on hand-held tone chimes (similar to hand bells, but easier to play). Many times they have been part of the Sunday worship service and played in concerts. Spring Ring at the end of April each year has been held in our church a number of times by the Manitoba Guild of English Handbell Ringers (MBGEHR) of which we are members. Spring Ring is a time for Manitoba Ringers to meet each other and to play together in a public concert. Prairie Spirit owns a three-octave set of Suzuki Tonechimes (from C4 to C7). New members are always welcome to come and ring!
